Dell Will Terminate Its ‘Mobile Connect’ Service 2023

Dell exits the phone sync game by shutting down Mobile Connect from January 2023.

Dell will discontinue Mobile Connect for users and the download option will not appear again for users in the US, Canada, and Japan after November, and the service will finally stop in January 2023.

Dell Mobile Connect, also known as Alienware Mobile Connect, is used to sync calls, messages, and notifications from your mobile phone to your laptop.

It was released in 2018 and works best with Laptops.

On its support page, the company announced: “Dell recommends that you uninstall Mobile Connect or Alienware Mobile Connect from both your computer and mobile devices prior to the regional discontinuation date. This frees up storage space and ensures an optimal device experience.”

While that service will be discontinued, according to The Verge, Intel has already purchased the software behind Mobile Connect in 2021, called Screenovate. Intel services are expected to be announced later this year.
