Linktree introduces a paywall function to aid content producers in making certain of their pages profitable.
Linktree’s popular platform, which links channels and additional social sites, creates a way for its creators to monetize the content shared on a page.
Payment Lock will allow creators to place paid walls in front of selected content, charging visitors up to $150 per piece.
The feature will only be available to premium users, who can put paywalls on their content but cannot strictly charge visitors for adult content. A company spokesperson clarified that the paywall will only be available for things like PDFs, archives, and videos.
Linktree has been an essential tool for content creators to redirect their audience to different pages like Instagram or TikTok handles. Link-in-bio tools will direct fans to the specific content they want to see, or even add external links to resources or contact details.
In recent years, the company has introduced an app for its creators to track visitors and update their pages. It has also partnered with TikTok to curate a selection of its videos on its Linktree page.
