After being banned from Facebook and Instagram for two years by Meta Platform, Donald Trump has finally returned.

Following a two-year suspension following the deadly Capitol Hill riot on January 6, 2021, Meta Platforms Inc. has reinstated former US President Donald Trump’s access to Facebook and Instagram, Meta spokesperson Andy Stone said on Thursday.

In January, the company announced that it would end Trump’s suspension “in the next weeks” and impose stricter sanctions, including a suspension of one to two years, should the former president break its content guidelines once more.

With his re-election bid in 2024, Trump can now employ important venues for voter outreach and political financing. As of January, he has 34 million Facebook fans and 23 million Instagram followers.
