128GB iPhone 14 for $2193.15 in Turkey
Turkey has overtaken Brazil as the country with the most expensive new iPhone 14.
Nukeni ratings are based on iPhone prices obtained from each country via Apple’s website and vary according to each region’s currency and taxes. Using the data collected, the new ranking places Turkey at the top of the list of the most expensive iPhone 14s.
The 128GB version of the iPhone 14 costs $2,193.15 in Turkey and $1,823.19 in Brazil. The cheapest places to buy an iPhone are in the US and Japan, where they cost $999 and $1039.46 respectively, not including local taxes. India, Hungary, and Poland are also some of the countries where Apple products are very expensive.
Turkey is facing a severe economic crisis with inflation exceeding 80%. In 2021, Apple halted sales of its products in the country as the local currency depreciated by more than 15% against the dollar within hours. After the suspension was lifted, Apple raised the prices of its products, App Store prices, and subscriptions by 25% in the country.
According to 9t05Mac, Apple also raised the prices of its products in Europe as the currency depreciated against the dollar, mainly due to the war in Ukraine.
