To add any more badges to any account connected to the business on Twitter, an additional $50 will be charged each month.
The social media behemoth Twitter proposes to charge businesses $1,000 per month for gold verification badges as it searches for ways to boost its income.
According to a tweet from social media consultant and market analyst Matt Nawarra, Twitter also intends to charge an additional $50 a month for any additional badges that are added to each account linked to the specific business.
Businesses can identify themselves from other accounts by using gold verification badges to validate their identities. The corporation adds badges showcasing scaled-down replicas of its Twitter profile photographs to the accounts of everyone affiliated with it as part of the verification process.
The goal of these actions is to monetize the platform and boost declining revenues.
It has not yet formally disclosed the costs associated with the Gold certification.
