YouTube Music has redesigned the playlist and album cover interface with a more modern look
The redesign of the new YouTube Music album and playlist, which was already released on tablets in June, is now available on Android phones.
The vertical UI is a much larger cover image, with an indication of its creator and the last update made to the widget. While the image is blurred in the background, with a clear album name and controls below it, including download, edit, mix, play, or share, and an additional menu with options to delete, play next, etc.
Just below the artwork is the song list, and at the bottom is the number and length of the songs. When scrolling down, users will see the FAB shuffle (floating action button) in the bottom right corner.
The new design gives the app a more modern interface, initially introduced on large-screen devices like tablets and Chromebooks, and later on phones. The redesign has been done for playlists, but has been extended to albums as well, reports 9to5 Google.
